Dog teams make a difference!
Our educational assistance dog teams make a difference in a child's life. In St. Paul, almost half the students tested in 2009 are not proficient in reading or math. This represents a crisis not only for our city, but for our state and our nation.
Help us reach more students!
Paws For Learning provides a unique learning environment between adult volunteers, dogs and high-risk students in the St. Paul Public School system. We can see the difference our weekly visits make in the students that we work with, but we need your help to expand our program and reach more kids! Each month, we have more schools requesting our dog teams to work with their students to improve math, reading and social-emotional skills, but we need to train more volunteers and their dogs to grow. Your support will help us make a difference in the lives of at-risk students in the Twin Cities.
Gve To The Max Day – November 16
Last year, more than 42,000 donors logged on to GiveMN.org and gave over $10 million to Minnesota charities in 24 hours during Give to the Max Day. We were excited to see how many donors supported Paws For Learning and we hope we can count on you! We have been lucky to receive a matching grant of $5,000 from a generous donor, so we will be working extra hard to spread the word and achieve that financial goal. This year, GiveMN has leveled the playing field for smaller non-profits like Paws For Learning. $15,000, $10,000 and $5,000 prize grants will be awarded to the top three small nonprofit organizations – with budgets under $750,000 – which receive the most dollars on Give to the Max Day.

Each hour, $1,000 will be given to a random donor’s charity during Give To The Max Day. You could be that donor!

We may even pull an all-nighter on November 16 to encourage people to give during the wee hours when we have the best chance of getting a Golden Ticket.
